Grease Trap and Soakaway Installation
A grease trap installed and connected to a membrane lined soakaway pit, excavated alongside a finished building with existing paving and planting in place.
01Brief
Client Objective
Install a working grease trap and soakaway on a property that was already finished, without tearing up more of the site than necessary.
Construction Approach
The excavation was kept as tight as the installation allowed so the existing paving and planting stayed intact. The pit was membrane lined and surrounded in aggregate so it drains properly, and the pipe runs were set to fall correctly into the trap.

02Problem and Response
The Challenge
Working next to a finished building with paving, columns and established planting immediately around the excavation.
The Solution
A mini excavator kept the dig controlled and close to the required footprint, and the surrounding surfaces were reinstated after backfill.
